In 2004, TGV Partners, in partnership with senior management, purchased the company from retiring owners in a $40 million acquisition. TGV principals served as Board directors, strategic advisors and members of T/C’s executive committee. T/C was sold to Smith & Wesson Holding Corporation for $102 million in 2007.
